Cable question? FPV-20CS MINI COLOUR CAMERA
« on: March 20, 2013, 11:41:17 AM »

FPV-20CS MINI COLOUR CAMERA SONY 1/3 SUPER HAD II CCD 550TVL

Hi
I just received my fpv-20cs. Can I use my old camera cable or do I need to use the cable it comes with?
My old camera cable has +5v, Grd, Vid. I runs my old Sony I got from Simon about a year ago or so.
The new cable has a yellow AV plug and a Red AV plug. 'Tis thrown me. :)

Yes you can use the old cable, make sure the colour order of the pins match going into the camera

I'd also add a warning to check the wiring.  I have two Sony cameras that both use the same 3 pin plug but there are wired the oposite way round.

I have a Sony camera that needs a new cable, any ideas what they're called or where they can be bought.

As I said, it depends on your camera.  I have one that is R/B/Y and the other is Y/B/R. Both are Sony cameras but bought from two different sources.
