RC F-117 EasyBuild V2 with Retracts

This was my first attempt at a scratch build.....the plans are from RC Powers in 6mm depron but i did this one with 2 sheets so its all 12mm thick..i put electric retracts in it .,, im not the one doing its maiden its one of the club members flying it as he has more Exp than me.. it turned out to have not enough power but it flew and made me v happy that it did...

That's awesome - I think the speed suits it, it looks much more scale than it being blasted around everywhere :)

Nice job!

gotta love rcpowers plans eh. I got my eurofigher typhoon plans from there. SHEESH!! that thing went vertical like it had a rocket strapped to it.

Your f117 looks the dogs matey, the silhouette against the sky is just brilliant looking.

Hi TeeJay

well it came down from a great hight in a spin and hit the ground i think an aleron horn came out or got stuck...not to worry as a 1 meter sheet of depron was only 6 so the plane only cost 12 and i had all the electrics already im just glad the retracts were ok as they were 70. :o

Worst part is cutting them out!

I've spent to long doing that... CNC cut would work well would it G?

Nice build and flight btw Dave. Keep up the good work!  :)

CNC is great for it, I have also used the laser in 3mm Derron, but you have to cut it fast, els the sides melt and you get a tapered edge.
a laser is also reel good for knocking out balsa plans.
