Coyote`s My Twin Dream
« Reply #180 on: April 20, 2017, 10:46:09 AM »

For convenience I just changed the screws for socket head with a spring washer. Never had an issue. The inner winglet  is glued to the fuz, I lined it up with the 2 spares which I coated with silicone grease first to prevent them getting glued. I remove them for transit. I fitted an extra magnet to the top hatch as there where reports of them coming loose in flight. Apart from that and gorilla tape to the keel and carving two grips to aid in launching (weak left hand due to accident) no other mods.

I just use the screws, they haven't failed yet. It's never going to be a problem though anyway, the friction would keep the wings on anyway.

Did you get the data radio working with MFD AP?

Only if the cable frP to the data radio was under 20cm long which made it impractical so I didn't bother. Any longer and it produced nothing but bad packets.

Damn, should be nice if it worked....trying to get it to work in my X8 but so far no luck......hence the question....

Did you ever tried the MFD GCS IOS AP in combination with the AP by module??

....connecting the AP to a Apple IPad using the MFD bluetooth module

I have been using the Android App with the Tracker and providing it has cell coverage works brilliantly, logging the whole flight so you can import it into Google Earth.

Ok, and can you ook upload to the AP via the tracker, such as new waypoints or new AP settings?

Please help:
my 2nd MTD using 10000mah 6s, 470kv motors,  AP setting also 6s , after 30mins flight LCD display show 3500mah juice been used, but checked with batt tester it shows only 35% juice left on batt , I had tried to discharge and charge the batt ( NEW batt anyway ) And also using separate 3s for all other electronic :  AP , Dragon Link and Gimbal !  Just can't figure it out why , my 4s set up MTD doesn't have problem like this !
many thanks for any info !
