I've just ordered the posh version as I'm going to build the Skywalker that's been boxed for 8 months now.

I have to say their website is crap, it keeps popping up with nags to follow them on facebook and whenever it does it renders the page unscrollable, then at other random times both scroll down and scroll up move you to the top of the page!

It took a whole lot of cursoring around and putting up with their constant popups to get an order placed. I've emailed the owners.

I really hope the end product is better than their web site.

I just posted this in the servo thread, but thought you might have found a solution
Hi All, I ordered one of the above a while back and only just got around to fitting it into the MTD as the existing pan and tilt is a bit crude to say the least. It the Mk1 http://fpvgadgets.com/product/professional-propan-pan-tilt-system/
As expected it is really smooth and solid with very very little backlash in the gearbox.  The problem is that the Pan servo is a continuous movement servo.  You set the neutral point by adjusting the pot until the servo out put stops and that is neutral. Then if you nudge the stick left or right it will spin in that direction until an opposite command is given. That would be ok except I have the pan and tilt on side sliders on the tx.  Watch this :

So what I need is either a way to mod the servo to reduce the rotation or a new 9grm 1 revolution servo.

I have the same gimbal and am thinking of using a reversible motor instead of a servo, as I cannot easily find a 1 turn 9grm servo.

A two turn would do as you can reduce the end points so it only goes 180 in each direction. Due to the gearing  in the turret I think a 1 turn would not give enough rotation.  I am trying to cue up with a clever switched mix on the Futaba 14 SG that will give me pan and tilt on the rudder in one position and full rudder control on the other. I am a pilot that uses the rudder all the time, especially when flying slow. I can get it to work but I really would like the camera to self centre when the stick was let go. I think that's what the mk2 will do. It is a bit daft though cos as it is it would be difficult to use on a head tracker

I found my solution :D
I've still got to maiden it yet but it's working well with a dummy 50-60mph wind in front of it :)

Great Show and tell matey!  Nice solution, I think Coyote did something similar but more expensive.

I have mounted this in the MTD for a flight and it is very smooth and stable. However due to the continuos rotation servo it's not exactly what I want. If the pan control was on a spring loaded joystick, such as the rudder,  it would be perfect but I am stuck in my ways and use the rudder all the time.
I have spoken to the manufacturers in the USA and they have offered to take the mount back and give me a credit towards the mark 2 which has a return to centre pan servo set up. Very good service, Hobby King take note!  Before I do that I thought I would offer the mount for sale on here to anyone for the same money I would get credited, which is 35 therefore saving me the shipping cost. PM me if interested.

Yes and no.
It worked for a very short time and it would have been perfect if I hadn't stuffed it up on its maiden.....
