Looks awesome dave,  will look forward to seeing the maiden flight..... Their going to be my next airframes,  talon and hunter as well... Twinstar will have to find another home.
Hey Max, still got my Twinstar dude, they do fly really well so keep it in the loft  ;)
Will shout when I maiden it and either you or Antkol could record the hole the Hunter makes on its maiden

Hey guys, have got a few days off and the weather is looking good for a Skyhunter maiden, just gave the airframe the once over and i'd not marked the CG, had a bit of a read and the makers said 1/3 of cord which works out at 80mm behind the leading edge but others have said up to 90mm. Just wondered what people were finding the best inflight/start point for this CG.
Cheers

Took the day off today as it's my birthday, weather was really good and little to no wind so after charging up all the batteries and camera's I went down to my favorite flying site with the Sky Hunter (first time this year because it's been full of cows). This will be the Sky Hunters maiden and my first flight with a Eagletree Vector flight controller.

First point is this is a lot bigger than my normal airframe and also the fuz is very wide to get a good grip on, my hands can hold it but when on full chat ready for launch it's not an easy airframe to hang onto, I fitted some grip-tape which is the same stuff I used on the Drak, this airframe needs it for me anyway.

Into the great blue skies I hope  ;)

She flies yipppeeee

Vector doing its thing, airspeed is a mile off and well down, will have to tweak the cal factor on a calm day. Any Vector experts know if this is normal or have I cocked-up  ;)

She flies really well straight out the gates, a little bit of right ali trim and straight from LOS to the goggles, I was planning on having a second flight with the aim of setting the gains, RTH and sorting air-speed but I managed to break a leaf off the 2.4Ghz VTX when I picked it up  :+

No vid today as I'm going down the pub with wifey for a pint or two, this took a long time coming but chuffed
 :pint: :pint: :pint:
