Assuming you have got good wiring and correct voltages, then It can really only be one of three things (in order of likelihood)...

1. Wrong channel
2. Blown transmitter
3. Faulty antenna

I guess there is a slight possibility that the receiver could be faulty, but not very likely in my experience.

Without special equipment, the only way to identify 2,3 or 4 is by a process of elimination using other parts. If meetings up with someone isn't practical then I don't think you can do much more without buying another transmitter (can be a cheap one so long as it supports compatible frequencies) or send your kit to someone willing to test it for you.

If you are only getting 1 meter the transmission must be in the micro watts region. Even 1mW will get further than 1m.

I'm in Peckham working at the moment, and have my 5.8 sharks with me, I can see if I can get a signal from your transmitter with them if you like, I just lost the antenna on my little quad, and only getting a meter now. Lol
need to fined a little whip antenna for it.

I have gone through all the channels available and the signal is the same. However, it might be a blown transistor bit I don't think it a faulty antenna as I have just bought the antennas so they are new, it can also be 4. But I am sending my VTX to someone so they can test it for me.

Sorry, i don't understand what you mean but my transmitter is a 250mw, however, I am not sure if the mw stands for micro or milla but I am sure its milla watt.

What he means is even with 1 milliwatt you should be getting more than 1 metre distance so it's very likely that your transmitter is putting out microwatts if it's blown, which would explain the bad range.

Would there be a way to check if it was giving out microwatts with a multimeter

The simplest way is to simply install another VTX in its place and see if it all works. If so, your VTX is toast.
