Hey
I've nearly got this vector sorted but have just one issue. When i flick the sub mode switch on my taranis the correct mode engages but in position 2 it cuts my rssi to 50 and in position 3 it drops to zero. I've read run the tx wizard but still the issue persists.

Rssi is set to ppm ch7 in the ezuhf software and ch7 in the vector RC configuration tab.

Input and mixes pics attached. I've done what I think it's correct. Advice gladly accepted.

Thank you

Hi Snooze,
Try using channel 8 to feed your RSSI.via muxed mode...or I always use Link quality myself.

Ch8 is the key to it.....works for me on the APM.

Thx ET. Someone else advised against rssi on 8 but I'll try anything. I'll let you know later. Thank you.

   Hi Snooze...

Yes, I forgot to add, Im using the tiny 4 channel EZUHF receiver.....I assume you are using the same one?
Let me know how you get on with it m8...:)

It may be an MFD thing, but in theory you should be able to feed the RSSI down any of the channels other than the 4 primary control channels...IMO.
Channel 8 should put the RSSI out on its own with no adjacent working channel next to it?

Hi ET
In getting really p155ed off with this rssi issue now. I've watched Keith Sutherland's YT vid and vortecs vid and still I do not get rssi working.

I'm not using MFD ET. I'm using a vector on the latest FW. The ezuhf Rx and TX are both on the latest intl FW. I'm using an 8ch lite RX with a jr module

I've set up new models on the tx
I've used 2 different taranis RX's
I've used 2 different ezuhf jr modules
I've tried 8ch ppm and 12ch ppm
I've set the tx to the corresponding 8 or 12ch at whatever milliseconds it need to be set at for 8 or 12
I've set the rssi channel in the vector software
I've set every available channel in turn to rssi in the ezuhf  software and rerun the vector wizard

Still no joy.

When I do get rssi working either the gain nob reduced or increases the gain number or the sub mode switch changes rssi to 50 or 0 in position 2 and 3 with position 1 being 100%

I have now factory reset the vector, taranis and ezuhf kit. I'll start again tomorrow.

Frustrated isn't a strong enough word for what I'm feeling!

Well quite literally after at least 30 solid ferkin hours of ferking about with rssi on the vector from ezuhf I now have it working on the bench. I've watched every YouTube video and read god knows how many threads on other forums

It's working completly by mistake!

Ppm ch10 set to rssi in the ezuhf software, ch9 in the vector software to listen for rssi.

Work that one out!

Wtf...?...I think you should set up a new simple Model and try it again because I think its some form of mixing on your Taranis causing this...
Its a well proven fact the EZUHF works with a Vector...

Ermm, unless you are a victim of using EZUHFs latest RX Firmware maybe...?
Im still using 1.5 (6)....It works, why change..?

Hi ET
I've set up a default new model loads of times. I've reset the RX to default, I've used a spare Rx, I've factory reset the vector, I've used a spare taranis. All with the same result, rssi was either not displayed or affected if I moved the gain or Smode switch. It made no sense at all. By pure mistake with me forgetting to change the channel number in the vector RC configuration screen rssi now works on the bench.

The ezuhf firmware on the RX and tx is 1.53 a(0). The vector is up to date firmware.

I'm going to do some more testing and see if off setting the vector channel by one for rssi has the same result across all ezuhf channels (or at least 8 through to 12)

Thanks ET.

  Hi Snooze,
Well, that really is weird eh..good idea trying different channels though to see if the offset is constant..

Well after Christ knows how many lost days I spent on my rssi issue with ezuhf. I got it working, then it wouldn't, everything set at it should be but still no rssi. A major ball ache.

Tucked away in rcgroups (which seems to be the best place for any support) I found a thread about a bug in imrctools v1.40 and rssi. 1.40 seemed to have been bundled with the latest firmware! I've updated to the latest version of imrctools and rssi was working within 30secs of running the vector wizard!

As much as I don't like rcgroups it seems it contains a wealth of knowledge. I didn't like going over there but it's the only place I found the solution on.

Glad you finally got it working. I never did get rssi working with ezuhf so couldn't really help.
