US newbie likes Hubsan X4 H502S FPV Desire
« on: August 12, 2017, 05:40:43 PM »

I've had a couple of super cheap drones and like the Syma X5C pretty well but wanted to learn about something with GPS. So far I love the Hubsan X4 H502S FPV Desire for the price. It does return home which is great because I had a few other quads wander off... It also has a FPV view window built right into the controller that's always on showing you what the drone sees.

I'm thinking about getting a Phantom 3, but so far can't afford an Advanced. I could swing enough to buy a Standard but other people have encouraged me not to because of the range limitation. Do you people think it's that big a deal between the 2 versions? I've seen that you can get range extenders for the Standard, but then have also seen warnings that there are hazards with that like you have to keep the controller aimed just right.

Thank you for any help or opinions!

Perhaps a second hand Phantom advanced.
I had this sent to me this morning, a Parrot Bebop for 300.
I now this link is in the UK, but i'm sure you will get the same sort of deal.
