iNAV Version 1.8.1 November 1st 2017

Bit of a bargain really, it's 25% off in their sale....another 9 days to run....Grab it, you dont have to rig up the current sensor, just VCC instead will do.  This one has a switched mode 5vdc supply onboard, so it doesn't get hot like the V1 does with its linear 5v reg.
Don't be put off by the price, these boards are mass produced and competition to sell is fierce.  I have 3 now, and all of them have pretty good quality soldering etc.

                                                                                                :vulture:

Well I ordered 2, shipped separately of course, been had like that before, also ordered the 18650 batteries whilst I was about it.

After ordering the FC I just realised I already have one sat in my tool box

I have this one that AKK sent me as a free sample: https://www.akktek.com/f4-support-sd-card.html

Adam I hope you are doing better than me. Mine arrived today and despite all attempts I cannot get it to flash with iNav. I can flash with all versions of BF but it will not connect to iNav. I have tried 2 different PC's, the next thing will be to remove and re install all drivers, if I can be bothered and/or have the time.
T
ps No issues with another brand of F4 so.....

Try installing the Impulse RC Driver fixer.

Its an App....You just install it and then run it.....But first plug in your FC....It will find it and install suitable drivers, works every time, I had to do it to my latest board too.

 1).Download the App.

 2) Install it and check it runs ok.....exit.

 3) Plug in your FC, wait and let it register on the USB Port.

 4) Run up the App again....It will find the FC and install suitable drivers and then leave your FC in DFU Mode...then you can run Betaflight and update it to the latest Firmware.

It's the same procedure if you want to change to iNAv...It's a brilliant little App and it's free.

Thank you for the info, I now have iNav installed and calibrated. However, every time i "save and reboot" I have to run that APP to get the board to connect, autoconnect doesnt work, clicking on connect doesnt work. iNav Seems very temperamental compared to BF but it may be my PC or Win10 or even the cable.  Anyhow I need to move on to soldering now and then get back to iNav when I have decided what to install it into. It was going to be for the new ASW 28, but having flown it on Monday I don't think its one for me to keep, (low duration and a pain to rig) so anyone local want a bargain glider message me.

Oh, good you have it working....Ensure you always use the same USB Port...and try using the USB type 2 port, not the fastest.
Try unchecking Auto connect.  Can't be the cable, it's already worked.

I have the latest iNAV installed and its Firmware and it's working very reliably, your problem sounds like a Port issue rather than an iNAV problem...?
Its a cool little Driver App huh..?

A useful tip thats not well publicised - ensure nothing connected to uart1 if you want to connect if DFU / bootloader mode. It confuses the bootloader.
Unfortunately many serial and ppm is connected to uart1.
I struggles for ages with DFU reliability until found that little gem.

I can confirm nothing was connected, it was straight out of the packet. I just wanted to confirm that the board worked before starting to solder pins.  I have had USB issues before with the front ports on this PC and it was the slow ports not the fast one I tried, although neither work.

Cool, we should be having a go around the same time then  :) I'll let you know how it's going when I get started.

I'm following the rag the nuts off series. The FC and the GPS are the ones he recommends and does the tutorial on so it should be easy.

Oh and one last thing, with the board we have ordered (the V2 pro with current sensor) you need one of these to connect the GPS: https://www.banggood.com/20Pcs-Mini-Micro-JST-1_0mm-SH-6-Pin-Connector-Plug-With-Wires-Cables-150mm-p-1170259.html?rmmds=myorder&cur_warehouse=CN

I'd offer to chuck a few in the post when they arrive, but at £2.50 delivered from BG its probably cheaper than my postage to UK from RO Ireland  (?)

 ;D

mine turned up today and its not an AKK board. Came in a Aurora RC pack with no accessories or pins and looks nothing like the picture on the AKK web site.
