Don't know if you mention it but sims are invaluable for this sort of thing.  If you're having to actually think about what your fingers and thumbs are doing while you're flying then you will crash, a lot.  You can commit all this to muscle memory using a sim and save a lot of bent props and flying sessions cut short through damage.

A bit like this ?
YouTube Video
There are just a few issues in showing stick movements - as I see it at least.  Firstly, as I found after I filmed myself, there are constant micro-corrections that my fingers are making and I'm utterly oblivious to - they've just become muscle memory.  Secondly, the amount of movement shown is going to depend on the rates/curves you have setup.  Thirsdly, as I mention in the above video the amount of input on either stick (depending on the manouvere) will depend on the speed you are doing it at.

That said, I do have more of these planned, it's written on a white board (seriously, I have a white board) where I've got "intro to tricks" in lieu of a better title.  I don't think doing it in slow motion is particularly useful as long as it can be shown relatively clearly though
Cheers for that. I watched all 6 parts. Very good explanation on the Rates. Seemed like there are so many 'rate' adjustments but I now have a better understanding. Thanks.
The video inlay (or is it overlay) of your tx is interesting. OK so as you say rates etc play a part into how much stick movements are required but seeing your fingers does help, even the micro corrections. It just helps to see that it's not a set angle and relax. It's continuously changing stick in small movements to correct.
I like the roll then yaw to 'straighten up' bit as using FPVFreerider as my sim it's sometimes difficult to get my head round which control to straighten up after a turn. I can imagine that the thrust angle changes and so the level of roll and yaw changes with power/speed/throttle but sometimes it is confusing if I need yaw to straighten or a bit of roll. I guess it's just down to practice.
Some of the vids I had seen were using the Black Box stick overlays with trails which is also interesting but seeing fingers seems easier to comprehend sometimes.
I'm currently trying to get 30-60 mins a day in on FPVFreerider and I am improving all be it slowly  :D. Just managed to do 3 laps of desert level going through all gates and no crashes  :D So as you can see I have a long way to go  :)
Thanks for the video links they are helpful.

Cheers I am using FPVFreerider and my tx to try and speed up practice. I am very slowly getting there. I am finding it helping to get my fingers to do things by memory  :)
Hopefully I will be able to test my skills on my Martian3 once the weather warms up  :)
Just need to find BIG space to fly as lost my old location due to moving.
Thanks.
