Nice design - good luck with your development.

? In the video does it seem slightly under powered ?
? Would the design be better with having flaps added ?

;) great eye. power and flaps, we also worried about this initially, let's say flaps, it seams that no need after testing, the wing's left is very good, and this airplane is good at slow fly for FPV etc...

power, the prototype's air resistance is really quite big, but after testing the final moulded airplane, this problem not exist, we have two power system options, one for flight weight less than 1.5kg, another for flight weight less than 1.9kg
no more words now, we will upload the final finished airplsne video later ... powerfull enough,

testing more
« Reply #10 on: May 03, 2012, 03:54:24 PM »

We tested relative high altitude flight performance (all flight without flight stabilization)
it seems that fly very stable and consume less energy, total flight weight is 1.35kg/47.7oz
Motor: brushless M2220 ESC 40A./ Battery 11.1V 2200mAh/ Propeller 9050 3 Blade
Noted that there are two motor systems for pilotís options:
One is M2220 recommended for flight weight less than 1.5kg
Another is M2815 recommended for flight weight less than 1.9kg
This time what we tested is M2220 with flight weight 1.35kg.

Most of the time I do not need to control the transmitter closely, fly it very easy.
Actually this is the EPS CNC made prototype testing; afterward I found that the prototype is big air resistance compared with the final smooth EPO airplane.(will upload it by another day)
Especially .please watch the second half of the video carefully

Also when do you think the plane will hit the shops??
and will there be a version with and without motor, servo's Etc
One last question, what is the largest battery that would fit inside the fuselage??
Cheers

battery, it's big enough nevery mind this, I put 3pcs 11.1V 2200mAh battery inside, it's no problem,  what we recommended battery is 11.1V 2400mAh-6000mAh

yes kits version available(without servo, motor ,esc) , ARF version also available (with servo, motor , ESC)

supposed to hit the shop by the end of this month or early next month
