Ha ha, yeah I'm camped in my spare room just now but I'm on a short term lease and an eviction notice isn't far away I don't think. The foam fumes doesn't really help my case either! I will be relocating to the shed shortly, I've sorted a proper working area in there and foam storage!

Nice - I hope you already had somewhere sorted to put them.  I know that I'd get at least two things removed from my body if I let my wife know that I was "just popping a few things in the spare room temporarily"

So things are progressing well, and my foam arrived at the end of last week!

I was away all weekend though but managed some test cuts, this foam really is great quality! Will be cutting more this week and hopefully will have some teaser pictures to show shortly! Thanks for the support so far! :D

Glad to see it flying now Steve, sometimes you do just need to force yourself but it's a great feeling when it works! Look forward to seeing some more flights with it. A bit easier to transport than the Skywalker! :P

Thats awesome, amazing seeing the different viewpoints! Although I don't think I'd be confident enough to fly FPV from any of them! :P

Top work, must have felt great to final have it in the air after all that work!

I wonder if the control surfaces are too large for something so small.

I have minimum servo / surface deflection setup (innermost servo arm hole, outermost clevis hole) and it still feels like too much movement...

cheers

Has anyone tried the vruzend kit?  This could be the perfect solution my only concern would be how much weight it would add. The main benefit of 18650 cells is the weight saving so this could impact that quite a bit

I would not enjoy flying the Z84 without a Flight Controller, it would be hard work I suspect.

It is twitchy - I had the GPS unplugged so that I could take over manually if the stabilisation wasn't working properly and I launched the 2nd time with it disarmed by mistake lol ... it wasn't too bad though once I realised what I'd done (I thought the FC had failed at first :) ) but yea.... it was more more sensitive to the controls :)

I didn't need to add any trim - how much of that is due to the flight controller I don't know.

How much up trim do you have on the elevator for straight and level flight at half throttle cruising?
