Problem with servos?
« on: January 07, 2017, 09:57:27 AM »

Hi
I'm rebuilding a new talon after my disaster.

After centering my servos I'm only getting about 45 degrees of movement in one direction.

Are the nakered?

Thanks

It does look bust. In manual mode you should get the full range forwards and backwards  using the dial

Great! I just thought it was a bit strange that they're all like this. Oh well. Do you have any recommendations for good servos please. I was using the tgy-90s ... but it seems lots of people use these anyway?

Cheers

I'm a bit of a servo snob so only use high quality Hitec HS65MG's with the odd 85 used also. Great servos, but you might find the price not so agreeable :)

They are metal geared though so breaking them is that hard it's considered a challenge :)

Before writing them off, I'd hook them up to a receiver and see what movement you get there.

I've noticed with servo testers in the past that some don't make use of the full movement. You might get the proper movement and reaction times when using your tx rather than servo tester.

Not worth chancing for the price of  servo.I use EMAX ES08MAII 12g,as do many others and they`re cheap.

No, I wouldn't keep it on the plane before thoroughly testing it.. but testing it on the rx is still worth it.

Thanks for all the input. I had all of them on test for about an hour. They were all ok but I didn't notice until they were installed that they only moved about 45 degrees in one direction. Just thought it was odd. But I'll try one hooked up to the tx

Cheers

Mr Blue for the win! Full movement in both directions when on the RX. Brilliant!

Thanks
