I think there is some quirk about not using channel 8 for rssi. Try it on channel 7.
Schweeet! Working now. Nice one Tim

Lol, there's lots of quirks in RC ..... and I seen to hit most of them 😂. Thx Tim. I'll give it a go.

Have you had the tracker running yet?

Not yet, I had to work at the weekend and I'm just sorting out some 1.3Ghz gear.
Have you found a RMRC receiver yet? Let me know if you end up ordering on from the states, we could combine postage?

I have a banggood  kit on order, and should be here soon, I see the comtech module is available as a DIY replacement part, that would be something I would have a go at doing sometime. Let me know how you get on with yours.

Yeh that is really to install. Just remove the molex connector and antenna fixing. No soldering required. But I think you'll be impressed with the Partom kit. Especially of you've only used 5.8/2.4

I have found an RMRC receiver. It'll be interesting to see much better they are than the regular ones from banggood. I've been using the banggood ones for about a year and had no problem out to 15k with that tracker and a Yagi PCB.

Which ones are you using from banggood. Updating my video system will be my next thing to look at and budgets are a bit tight at the moment?
Cheers Steve

Yep, same as what I've been using. I attached a Yagi PCB (the one in sent you) to the vrx and mounted directly to the silver bracket on the tracker. It weighs almost nothing so the servos on the tracker cope easily.

What antenna are you putting on the vtx? You may know but you'll need to open up the orange vtx bit and take out the internals. It's the internals you'll mount on the plane. The orange box weighs too much. It's an easy job, just a screwdriver and pliers.

I know about removing the orange case, but I hadn't thought about VTX antenna yet. I was going to try it with the rubber ducky to start with. Do I recall that you made your own?
