DAL RC OSD cuts in and on DVR but not goggles
« on: June 06, 2018, 05:05:06 PM »

This is a bit of a weird problem.
I'm using a DAL RC OSD and it's perfect in the goggles.
I use an Archos 700 to record the flight on my ground station.
The weird thing is that the OSD is constant and OK in the goggles but cuts in and out on my Archos. The video is fine in the Archos, just the OSD that is there one minute, a quick video glitch and it goes, another video glitch and it's back again. This problem is not evident in the goggles.
The Archos has an auto detect PAL/NTSC that can't be disarmed. Could it be that?
The Archos records video and OSD perfectly on my other plane which uses Eagle tree OSD - no problems with OSD cutting in and out on the Archos with that set up.

I used to get this ages ago with the Pigeon OSD - if you look at this ancient video from about 4m20s you'll see the static knock the OSD from the recording (this was on a JapanFPV style DVR)

! No longer available

I did find it was a PAL/NTSC thing for the Pigeon, where a later version fixed it.  If you are unable to set PAL/NTSC, perhaps you could swap the camera for the opposite standard of what it currently is to see if that fixes it.

Thanks CurryKitten,
Sounds like a similar problem, just weird that I can use the Archos on my other set up and the problem disappears.
I'll try another camera and see if that sorts it out.
Thanks again
