Arrma Senton 6S BLX FPV
« on: June 12, 2018, 04:58:07 PM »

After driving a FPV car (FS Racing Marauder) from a friend i had to build my own one.
I played with the tought of buying the same one, but in the end it had to be better, faster, louder etc. :D
So on my shopping tour i came across AMEWI AM10SC / VKAR SCTX10, not cheap, but also not very proofen design....
....so after searching the internet for a long while i settled on the ARRMA Senton 6S BLX :o
4.5kg and around 2kW power, a lot of steel and aluminium, high grade durable plastics, that looked like it will take the worst beating i could cause

For FPV i had everything at home, just the normal 1G3 setup. 800mW TX and RMRC Comtech receiver.
At the moment i use linear polarized antennas, but a TrueRC Singularity arrived and for receiving end i will use my trusted CW CPatch.

For control i use my trusted EzUHF. To use the pistol grip i built a Arduino ProMini PWM to PPM converter. So i can plug the 2G4 receiver of the pistol grip to the Arduino converter and this generates a PPM signal for my EzUHF transmitter.

The camera is a cheap Eachine 700tvl, around 3-5g mounted to a fast analog Graupner 40g Servo. The servo is controlled by a CC3D. I know, analog is not good because of just 50Hz, eventually i will exchange that one to a digital one, so i can use 330HZ update rate. Or for the luxury editon a 1-axis gimal, but for now the analog servo is enough.

I mostly drive the Senton with 4S batteries, 6S is plain crazy!
