Scary stuff, well done! Can it go any faster than that? I'm assuming you were at full throttle!

Cheers

Hey, Yes this was flat out, but into a small headwind, maybe 5-8mph, nothing significant. It was a mild set-up, 1900kv and only around 2-2.5kw, Just enough for the vertical launch. The prop this time as a 6.5 x 6.5, really just a test set-up to get used to the airframe...but that motor will pull a 7x7 for 1 minute straight at around 3-3.5kw, so I expect the speed with that motor to top around 370-380kph. The next motor after the SK3 will be my favourite Leopard 3674 2650kv, which I expect to be well past 400kmh with a 6.5 x 6.5, it may even pull the 7x7 in this airframe. Looking forward to some more consistent weather so I can get some more flights in! Damn the UK weather!

Yes we are at its mercy now ! :(

Hope the summer is as good as this years and the winter the shortest on record :)

How do the bearings cope on the SK's ? I found on two of mine they were the weak link.

I have found the bearings in the SK3 inrunner are great, I have a few of these motors. On my main speed rig I have probably oiled them 3 or 4 times in around 4 years, and that thing does the whole flight full throttle from takeoff to LVC. (1 minute). So in reality, it has probably got 6 or 7 hours of full throttle history! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MhUONQRvedE

I have some SK3 outrunners on other projects and a couple of those do have rumbly bearings now after not too much use... I guess they use different bearings.

Good to know they must have stepped up their bearing game then :) Mine are a few years old so maybe that's it.
