E.T.s Pheonix 2000 Glider...iNAV / R9MM / 1280mhz video.
« on: August 23, 2019, 09:26:38 PM »

The last 5 minutes of a test flight with my Phoenix 2000 Glider...This thing will fly for 30 minutes on just a 2200mah 3S.
I wanted to see if the R9MM receiver would cope alongside my favourite 200mw 1.2G Video Transmitter.
In theory, it should be no problem, and it would appear to work just fine. No problems I could see and in this clip I was using 500mw and the Flex Firmware. It still needs the Rudder wiring up and some fine tweaks in iNAV but pleased with its performance.
Im using a cheapo FXT Camera but it worked pretty good considering...I need to set the ESC brake too, apologies for the freewheeling prop...

Very nice - it'll be a lot better with the prop brake on :)

Is there a way to put vario on the OSD?

 Hi Steve,
Cheers m8, it still needs some tweaking and it would be nicer in the fast climb using 4S. This would mean a 12v regulator to feed my VTX though.
FrSky do a dedicated micro receiver with built in Barometer, and Vario, so you can listen to that as well if you want, or just watch the altimeter in the OSD. The GPS is all mounted inside the Fuz to keep it aero, its surprising how fast this model is, even on the glide..
At least Im using my cheap 868mhz system, it does work now though....
Pleased it can cope alongside 1280mhz video...
