What's Your "I'm stuck at home" Project?
« on: March 24, 2020, 02:33:26 PM »

Now most of us maybe in 'lock down' what projects will you be working on?

Picys would be great. Doesn't have to be fpv related (hope that's OK mods?) but any projects to see or read about might brighten our days up.

How are you keeping busy?

Myself, well as I work from home I have lots to be getting on with but I will be trying to get some stick time in flying my Mobula6 round the garden.

Stay safe everyone and Happy flying, when you can.

also WFH... on the spare time I intend to:

- Finish my Volantex Ranger 2000 II
- Flash latest BF (and re-tune?) on my diatone 3 inch quad
- Build yet another Wing Wing Z-84 with 1.3Ghz video
- Build yet another Wing Wing Z-84 for autonomous missions

;)

in that order!

If I get through the first 2 I'll be happy...

Cheers

Decided to start on my garage now most the rooms are done at my house, so it was either mancave or garage and funds meant garage lol ( Big plans for mancave :) )

So I thought I'd take my time and remove the old wiring, the old wired fuse boxes, the one and only socket in there, the two fluro lights, the racking storing wood in the roof so I hit my head every time I went in. New worktop to replace the 5 pieces that were there but not attached and served no purpose, reclaim my windows for natural light.

The idea was to take my time, enjoy the installation. What happened was .........

Day 1 : Rewired, RCD board fitted, 6 double sockets fitted, all in trunking, 2 google home switches fitted for lights, 1x daylight LED striplight for workbench, 4x warm white LED striplights for rest of the garage, bench fitted, vice fitted, cupboard door fronts refitted and repaired, windows reclaimed.

Day 2 : Bored stupid again .................

Day 3 : Fit birdbox with HD IP camera and waiting for something to move in. I have a bluetit very interested.

Day 4 : Bored stupid again :)

Ben Buckle Majestic Major from scratch build. New building board needed so bought a cheap panel door from Howdens and a pack of cork tiles from Amazon. Quite some while since I did some “proper” modelling.

Today I will be filing 3 cases with Action Fraud. 3 charming individuals that duped me out of money after purporting to sell me 4 stroke glow motors I need for a charity project. I am building 3 channel models to help a Parkinson’s victim and his son fly Again.

Good stuff Ian, your projects are always so modest :p good luck with the full refit!

Re Birdbox, curious about which system you're using?

Cheers!

P.S>: one of the side projects is playing Call of Duty Warzone... let me know if you're playing as well!

Thanks Charles

The Birbox actual box is from Garden Nature, its not cheap at £40 but is purpose built for the camera and gives a much better viewing angle and has a frosted window again for the camera.

The IP camera is a Green-Feathers HD IP camera

Its a diffferent camera version of this kit :

I'm on Star Fleet Command on android and World of Tanks on the PC :)
