Betaflight will only show you the ports it thinks are there.  If you are certain that the receiver is wired in correctly and it's bound then what I might do is try setting Serial RX on uart1 and try it and then uart 3 just to make sure the config wasn't wrong to start with.

Once again, pictures, or a video of the board and wiring would help

Here are some images of the connections between the Rx and the FC:

Well, that's a start, although not particularly clear - I can't see where the wires from the RX are really going.  Looking at the second picture, I'm assuming the board at the bottom of the frame (with the SD card slot) is the camera, and that the RX is sitting on top of the flight controller.

I'm wondering if you actually have this board http://myosuploads3.banggood.com/products/20191105/20191105212003GEPRC-STABLE-V2-F4-MANUAL-V10.pdf which seems to come with the Cinequeen and has it's RX on UART6.  If that's the case though, those labeled R1 & T1 should be towards the rear of the board where the RX plugs into, and it kind of looks like you RX is plugged into the front?  It's really hard to tell from the picture though - can you let me know if I'm misreading that

Sorry about the quality of the pics, you have no idea how long it took me to get them posted .Those prop guards make it very difficult to see anything and i'm reluctant to take anymore of it apart.
The Rx lead snakes back under itself and plugs in to the back of the FC.That V2 board looks like it might be the one,so where do we go from here?

Go back and check the connections on the RX against the plug in the back of the FC - use the manual I linked to so you can make sure that each of the connections look correct.

Can you go and look at my questions from a few posts ago when I ask you to confirm that you have the green light on the RX when you are attempting to test this with your radio, and you are saying you get nothing on the rx tab to indicate any movement.  Presumably, this was flashed to support RSSI, so do you see any movement on AUX12 also?

"Go back and check the connections on the RX against the plug in the back of the FC."
I actually did that the day before, just in case I'd done something stupid like getting wires reversed or the JST connector was not fully home in the socket.
I have ordered some JST pigtails so that I can solder a connector on to the other Rx I have and an Sbus to PWM convertor so I can plug in a servo to check the Rx is working properly.
Yes I have a green light, RSSI is off but if I select it on it goes back to off when I refresh or save.

Really silly question but what version of BetaFlight are you running (in Cli type version) And what version of BetaFlight Configurator are you running (top left of screen)?
I seem to remember running certain BF with certain configurators did weird things like not saving some settings!!!!

10.7.0 I think, I only downloaded it a few days ago so I would assume it would be the latest version. This is all new to me, I can remember when reverse servos were a great idea :+ then somone had the brilliant idea of putting reversing switches in the TX.

Well I had another go tonight after changing the receiver and binding it to the Tx. Still no go.

Tim.  I'm really trying to help here - but we have a bit of a disconnect.  I'm trying to work through it on a low-level point by point approach, and you reporting high level things like "Well I had another go tonight after changing the receiver and binding it to the Tx. Still no go."  Obviously there's a bunch of steps involved in this, and we don't know how you are testing, so what I'm requesting is that you treat us like absolute idiots.  Take us through it step by step in as much detail as you can provide.  Videos and pictures are even better.

Really, we've only established a few things so far.

 - Your receiver is bound
 - serial rx is on UART6 and it's set to SBUS
 - You've tried 2 receivers and the results appear to be the same

Here's what I don't know, but would like to - please fill in the details

 - How is your radio setup, can you show me the inputs and mix screens
 - When you plug your quad into Betaflight is the RX powered (have you checked) - is this how you are testing, or are you having to use a battery as well?
 - If the RX has outputting RSSI on channel 16 (and the RX is powered (see the previous question)) are you seeing AUX12 move around even if your stick movements do nothing

If everything is set up correctly, and we're seeing nothing, we could have something like a duff SBUS pin on that connector you are plugging into. It's a bit fiddly, but you could do a continuity test here with a multimeter. (while powered off) one end on the SBUS pin on your RX and one on the back of the connector where the pin connects to the board.  If this is failing (and that is your board) then there's another RX6 on the reverse of the FC.

There's only room for one idiot on this forum and that jobs taken :+
I am grateful for your help ,but I sometimes have difficulty putting it in to words and as for pictures, well it'll take a while :)
The Rx is powered from the main battery.
I'm not getting any RSSI output in Betaflight.
I'll try to post some photos of my Tx.
