Next question :-)
I would like if possible to have a switch on my tx that will disable the camera movement and put it back to centre, i have got pan and tilt on channel 5 & 7 on the two rotary switches on the top of the TX (LD & RD) i kind of find it hard to find their centre position when flying so would like to have one of my switches disable these two and centre the servos to their normal flight position for take off landing or getting out of trouble, do you think this is possible and if so could some one tell me what steps i need to take in the programming to achieve this.
Cheers J
Can't help answer your question but I adopt an easier solution: make sure that when the camera is looking forward and down a bit you can see the nose of the plane: job done. Any help?
Yea thats were i failed lol, i cannot see the nose of my plane without looking quite a bit down :-( my mount sits quite high
Could you use a mix which uses 0% of the pan channel and adds 50%?
You should be able to add a mix that will return it to centre
A mix on the 2 channels and switch position to on to use it or off to pan should be possible.
I'd recommend you look at the mixing options for sure
I may have a mix in 12fg you could copy I need to see if my Jet is still programmed if it is I'll post it in a bit...
Actually it looks like I deleted it a bit ago :-(
But a prog mix of the two channels should def be possible recommend you tinker
Cheers guys will have a play
Or get a cocktail stick and make it so you can see the top of it in the bottom of the screen.
Even simpler solution for you :)
I did think of that actually but the idea of hitting a switch if i have a close moment seems appealing time to have a go
Yea i dont like them their as they are too notchy and not smooth at all, prefer the dials at the top but the beep is not very loud
I have a similar setup on my 12fg. I also have a switch to disable the rudder and use the rudder stick to pan with, which returns to the centre.
I just tried a mix and it works on my 12fg, so should with your 8 I would have thought. Flick a switch and instant centre.
Here ya go: Tested this and it works on mine. I've named my channels on the TX but just substitue PAN for what ever ch no you pan servo is on:
PanCentre (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G0GkcE0sw0w#ws)
Never thought of doing that however using the rudder stick is a brilliant idea, will try give it a go
If you want to do the rudder, you need 2 mixes set up like the one in the video. Both to come on at the same time.
Mixing type Mix 1 master = rudder, slave = pan both rates -100%
Mixing type Mix 2 master = rudder, slave = rudder both rates -100%
Both mixes come on at the same time (So I have them on Switch SC).
Mix 1 moves the pan with the rudder stick. Mix 2 stops the actual plane's rudder from moving when you move the rudder stick.
These are my screens going round in circles a bit can u see what i need to enter its a little different to the 12
Done it :-)

:-D
ACE :)
Cheers Jibberjabber :-) will pass you some thanks when im not on tapatalk, works a treat and servo centring could not be simpler. Feel like im getting some value out my tx too now lol
Karma from me as well
I'll end up trying that out I recon :)
Its awesome ! Works so well much better way of controlling the cam, for me its habit to have all switches away from me with the helis etc so thats how i set it up away for rudder working, might even set up another switch so that elevator is on rudder for hand launching, being able to punch in some up elevator while holding the tx in my left hand will be handy
