Here is a nice video I took at the weekend with a couple FPVHUB friends.
Got some good video although it was a bit windy to say the least up in the city. Nice and clam at the common though and managed some nice and low flybys!!
Camera is a HobbyKing Wing Cam so no GoPro by any means but for $50.00 you can't go wrong.
All went well up until the point I erm....... "Landed" on the roof of the Cathedral :o :o :o Que speaking nice to the Dean to get it back!!!!!
Plane is destroyed but a big THANKS to K' for getting it back for me in disguise!!
All good fun!!!!!

Ace video mate, love it!
Nice vid, shame about the wing tho. :'(
What was that building with the big wall all round it?
Was anything salvageable from the wing mate?
Loving the shot of you in front of the cathedral, "please mister, can I have my plane back?"

That is Lincoln Castle. Pretty posh looking gaff!!
Haha - great stuff, I thought the cathedral was further away from the common than that - interesting!!
Wow fella, great vid..... I've always wanted to see the views from up the Cathederal but too tight to pay to go up there.....no, not too idle!! Castle looks great from up there too. Lots of familiar places from college/ adolescent years.....aahh..
G.J......... ;)
Yep it is a nice place Lincoln, spent many a night out round there in my misspent youth!!
Need to get quad up around town next!!!

It is not far at all and did not take long to get there.
...... I feel a cunning plan brewing!!
I had to go and retrieve the wing....in a 3D Printed disguise of course!

Ha Ha love it!!! Thanks for picking it up. I hope you talked in a funny accent to?!?!
Man I need to come back with my GoPro. The AXN is well on its way now so one day soon I shall return for another fun filled Saturday. Will try not to crash this time.... not promising though!!
Yeah, I was like
"Chocks away ginger...good flight what...one has come to collect ones clapped out old girl....Didn't one just drop a clangour with ones flight?"
But yeah, the GoPro over there would be amazing! :D

Am I the only one who dares question the wisdom of this video?
Correct me if I am wrong but isn't Lincoln Cathedral in a heavily built up city centre area?
Correct me also if I am wrong but wasn't the "landing" on the roof of the Cathedral really just a crash? Fortunately cathedrals are relatively crash resistant to model aircraft. Other objects are not so blessed.
Flak expected.
Electrotor I think the cathedral must have moved or something because the flying I saw beforehand was perfectly fine, nothing to suggest any danger at all.
I demand you send a letter to Lincolnshire Council requesting an explanation for the unwarranted and undeserved criminal damage to TeamFTPs airframe by the Cathedral and an assurance that it won't happen next time.
QuoteFlak Expected
:o as if the council playing dodgeball with cathedrals isn't enough, you're expecting them to fire live ammunition too - it's only an RC plane! Won't someone think of the go pro??
You throw in the bait and they bite ;D ;D
Happy fishing
It was all perfectly safe up until the point the Cathedral moved. God works in mysterious ways.
Anyways I am a Catholic and apparently I am now up for a Papal knighthood for a bit of protestant kicking..... Sir TeamFTP?!?!

Flak given, all in good fun and jest ;D ;D

I think it was lightening bolts from Heaven that got me!!!
Talking about fishing.... the Brayford pool got left out a bit...you could've approached it flying along the canal, Dam busterstylee from the Green Dragon nice and low beneath the High Bridge cafe...... Yeah, I wanted to see the yatching set lazing around on their deck loungers with their Martinis. Also flying up the front street and through the Stonebow would've been a hell of a stunt and one which I'm sure Peter Levy would've wanted footage of........oh no sorry, it's not in Hull is it?
G.J. ;)
I've wanted to do the Brayford pool for a while, and down the canal to the pyewype pub!
Would be awesome!
Keukpa
Ah yes, The Pywype... I met several members of the cast of 'Hi-de-hi' there once...glory days!
Rockstar lifestyle, granpaw! lol

There was no crash in this video??!! Was there?
Well at least the flak is light (hearted). :D
Teamftp I think I know the reason for your crash, sorry landing, on the cathedral roof. Your model is RC and the cathedral is Anglican. You obviously picked the wrong denomination to fly over. I suggest that next time you try Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral or London Westminster Cathedral. You will be safe then - Deo volente.
;D
DAMN Anglicans...... they are even more nuts
Liverpool here I come ;D

Now the Pyewype pub is easy as for the brayford now that might need a bit more planning....
