I went out with FlyBoySee and krikey for a triple maiden on Saturday, so here's a few lips from those flights.
Had a few issues, the most visible one being the OSD not being able to find any satellites, and so just stayed on the starting screen solidly. But the Red Brick ESC I had in the Bixler 2 popped on my 3rd flight, but luckily I was able to glide down.

Despite many negative words about the stock Bixler 2 motor, my one worked very well, I had no issues gaining height quite quickly, and it cruised around with very little throttle. I really liked the flaps, on my first landing attempt I deployed them and literally lost no height at all as I came in and had to go round again :)
There's some quad footage in here as well, I'd just bought some more GoPro mounts and so was trying the camera underneath the f450 front plate to remove most of the prop view.
Very nice - excellent flying location you guys have there as well.
Great footage Wayne and some good flying. Its always nice when you leave with the same amount of EPO that you arrived with and in one piece. I think during a finals approach on my SW, I overshot and went round again, but in doing so pulled back on the elevator and the wings really warped as I powered out. Have to remember this is a bigger bird and needs less yanking around.
Thanks for the lend of the Graupners too.
I enjoyed that rip around the moors very wet area there too.
I had a couple of issues with my pidgeon osd on my quad a few days ago it took about 6 mins to find the sats i hope this is unusual as i get itchy fingers wanting to go lol :D
A nice maiden back in one piece and No real issues :D
dizzy
I had another pigeon osd in my quad which locked inside 30 seconds,so I think I've just got something dodgy on the one I moved to the Bixler. Kind of a pain, and of course the only bit I didn't double check because I never expected the osd to come up indoors. Never mind, it was only a temp one until I got a strom osd ordered and installed
Nice maiden matey!!
Jim.
Wayne it seems the Bixler power set is a bit of a post code lottery - some work out the box (like yours) and others I believe are just crap to begin with. This was such a memorable day, three maidens, all with ironing outs ahead, but no crashes. I was sure one of us was going to crash :)
HD footage was superlative and I like as always the back view - just seems your 808 is a bit wobbly.
When I build my Bix I'll definitely go for the same power set up. Really nice!
I had another fly yesterday and may go out again today while my software downloads :) (anyway to assuage the guilt). My RTH is now spot on after I upped the gains a little...
My video will be up in two days or so.
