Title: Little Speedy foamie build
Post by: Kf52t on December 01, 2010, 11:17:55 PM
The purpose of this build was pure speed as I had not yet built or flown something with 100mph ability, the following are a few build pics followed by the maiden flight. I had a m8 Doppler the sound off another flight and it clocked 97mph (gutted 3mph short) I'll get the magic 100 when this white stuffs gone  ;D
specs are 26 inch wingspan with auw of 9 ozs powered by 2350 keda motor running a 4.75x4.75 prop with a 30 amp esc  2x carbon rods in the main wing to deal with the stresses and all wings tapered to 2 mm at the leading edge. She's light and very fast.

Because it was a maiden i only hit WOT once watch for it, the rest was half throttle till nerves settled lol

Now that's so weird you posted that as I've just got my little cam back of a m8 of mine as he was using it to watch back his flying as it helped improve his flying.

So as soon as i can is the answer.. ;)
