Title: May Video Of The Month Competition
Post by: Coyote on May 09, 2013, 08:06:19 AM
Hi guys, get your entries in for Mays Video Of The Month :)

Same rules as always :

1) Only flights from the 1st of May until the last day of May

2) The thread will be closed and the entries put into the vote thread on the 5th of the next month. This is to give 5 days grace for editing of flights that were shot on the last few days of that month.

3) Any video`s endangering people, animals or property will be removed.

4) You can submit as many entries as you like

Please include in your entry airframe used and rough location

Well, here is my entry then called "2 Sides":

http://youtu.be/Pis3FtXt0XE (http://youtu.be/Pis3FtXt0XE)

What keeps me flying FPV is the duality of this hobby. There are sessions of high adrenaline with low and close fly bys and then there are those magic moments of serenity, beautiful views and tranquility. I hope this video reflects that.

Location: Turkey (close to Marmaris)
Airframes: SwiftII, Skywalker and X8

I know you guys don't much care for Yanks in your Ranks, and I have yet to successfully compete in these competitions for obvious reasons, but here's one I'll toss in just for kicks.

BIRDS EYE VIDEOS

SCENES OF SERENITY - Wild West Americana

I had a great day this week just driving out across farm country and wilderness, popping out with my multi-rotor whenever something caught my eye.

I got some fun stuff, including:
a guy racing his horse and herding cattle,
a cute girl on a motorcycle,
a mountain goat,
a hiker,
and some sweet Texas Longhorn Steers.

Flynn,

Great video, well done on getting your plane back to base. I would hazzard a guess that I recognised some of the flying spots.lol Could be wrong though.

Would like to fly FPV from Hinchingbooke field (where the lower school used to be) cross the fields and along the river and out to Port Holme and back.  Someday....

Plane is progressing, I am amassing a load of parts at the moment. Baby is here and I am getting odd moments to get components out, have a a look and feel, put them back and start dreaming again of the time to get the plane togther.

Getting there slowly.

Hey guys, thanks, yeah really was touch & go! I thought both planes were lost & was walking out to find the bits only to be buzzed by my ZII flying home!! It was so surreal & amazing to see - couldn't believe it came home!!

Would be cool to do that WW, you gotta get it built mate, then come for a fly with us! ;)

Done on one of those RARE calm ish days round here...went up to Caton and had a do around the Wind Turbines which were still for a change...Feeling much more confident with my new Aviator goggles
Done with my Easy star. Fat shark goggles, 250mw vtx and spironet antennas.Camera was 808 #16 as you can see from the video.

Myself and the Icecreamvanman were out getting in some quality FPV time over the weekend, the last thing we expected to see was a bloody great tank!

Footage was taken from my F550 FPV Hex with a GoPro3. Had a pretty close call with a tree, whilst flying backwards!

Location is near Tysoe in Warwicksire.

Some sweet stuff there... To be fair we Brits are probably just jealous of the outstanding flying weather you get.. And I also have a question when flying with the gimbal are you viewing the video feed from the recording cam or a separate flight cam as my experience tells me flying with a self levelling gimbal through fpv meant I ploughed my quad into the ground? Sorry I'm still fairly new at fpv and thought it best to have a separated cam operator and pilot when trying to capture moving objects..

Is the video of the month only for aircraft, or can I enter a ground based FPV video?
If I can then here it is.
