Title: can you alter throttle on kk2 board?
Post by: stevestoys on May 12, 2013, 09:57:58 AM
I have an sk450 with kk2 board. The throttle is really sensitive. Either dropping or climbing. Can I alter anything like end point or rates on my transmitter or kk2 board to make more movement on the throttle. One half click and I'm up and down lol it won't hover

set your trim so that the throttle is at centre when it is hovering and then put in 50% exponential

I have had a look at my turnigy 9x and it doesn't have expo on throttle. It has it on rudder etc but none on throttle. I have decided to adjust the top end travel adjust on throttle to 70% thinking this will stretch out the throw a bit. Have put loads of expo on rudder elevator and ailerons hoping this makes it less twitchy too. Also have rates set on kk2 so will test when wind drops below 40 mph lol

This might be a setup issue.  Mine was like this when I tried some larger props one time, it was way over-propped.  With smaller props giving a higher disc loading it was back to normal.

Turigy 9X Does not have Expos on the throttle channel. You will have to set it on the KK2 board itself.

Go to the stick scaling option and set the expos there. The higher the value, the more responsive, the lower the value the less responsive. I preffer it to be around 30-40.

I don't know if this can be done on the Turnigy transmitter...

I set mine to heli mode instead of acro(plane) on my dx6i, this allows you to alter the throttle curve. You can make the curve flatter around the hover point. Eg if hover is 50% then the curve will be something like 0-45-55-65-100.
