After eons of messing about with my Y6, am pretty happy with the gains, and took her outside today for a quick hop.
This flight is in Atti, but have successfully managed to calibrate GPS, set IOC and Failsafe (Am using an FF9 with a FrSky telemetry module on 2.4ghz)
Fixed my wiring to my 12v Sony HAD 600VTL cam too)
All systems go soon with my Attitudes ;D
Taking it to my friend's field soon for further testing and familiarity flights soon, before donning the goggles...This is really exciting and cannot wait to see how things go.

how you finding those keda motors matt?, much vibration from props?
The Keda's are actually pretty smooth, only issues so far is that one arrived with no prop adapter and if you bend a shaft on an adapter, you need to buy a whole new motor as spares are not available, which is mildly irritating.
As for the motors, they run well and smooth, I'm liking them so far :)
Just wish spares support was better.
Actually need to buy another now, as I found one of mine has a bit of run out on an adapter end.

I got the same motors but have had problems finding the right props as all the ones I have tried vibrate like anything.
William showed me the ones you are currently using, I have ordered a couple of pairs to try out.
Can You take a picture and show me how you have got the motor set up? I'm assuming your using the 4mm threaded adaptor that comes with it?

A prop balanced is a must, no two ways about it. Try doing that if you haven't already. I diligently balance my props always,a bit tedious but essential.
If that isn't the problem, maybe your gains are too high? Final possibility is that your cans are imbalanced.?

William has been fantastic with me, answering all my questions. Really nice guy, and of course, he recovered my IFLY from the castle. :)

At the price of those spares you might aswell buy a new motor tbh.
I tried one of wills gemfans on mine and it worked fine without vibration. Be good if i could find somehwere that sells them in the uk. Its the crap props i have been buying my gains are fine.

yeh i do fly in essex, my club is in rainham but they dont really allow fpv. >:(

I did find a guy selling them on ebay, but he's zero stock now, look for a user called floatships.
They seem to be very good props to me, maybe your mounting system? My kit came with flimsy 1.5mm thick fibreglass mounts, swapped them for 2.5mm aluminium ones, much better.

very very nice setup. yeh I ordered those props from there but haven't tried them yet as they havent arrived.
Basically I swapped my stock dji motors for the keda's as they are a slightly higher kv, they mount exactly the same too. I had no problems with the previous motors or props so that rules out the mounting
these props are dodgy with 4mm shafts. terrible vibration

Much better in regards to balance and vibration but too floppy, not good for heavy payloads
Now im just waiting on the ones from ebay. Do they come with 4mm inserts and are they quite rigid?
if all else fails i think i might convert back to the stock dji motors as i am confident with the dji propellors designed for them

I have one of those SMD G4 LED lights (same as yours) on my Y6 Unbelievably bright! Have you flown a full pack with it on, and if so, is there any discernible effect on your flight times?
Am looking for smaller super bright red LED's to put at the rear of my Y6 to aid orientation in LOS but not found any yet.
The Gemfam props do come with 4mm inserts, they are a tiny bit tight on the Keda shafts, but you can get them on.
The props are very rigid. Have heard stories of the larger gemfams occasionally breaking in flight with some users, but only on the larger sizes.(12" etc) These smaller ones seem to be OK.
Am looking to put all carbon props on mine when I'm happy with the setup in terms of general flying.
Your quad looks good, have seen pics of it flying before, William sent me some pics of one of your FPV meets.
Just need to find more multirotor flyers in Essex to join us!
