Title: My new diversity relay ground station
Post by: Dizzy on May 26, 2013, 09:02:32 PM
The grey plastic box cost me £7 i there is two pairs of vrx,s inside plus my 5.8 relay vtx and diversity unit
The antenna,s come off and its just a robust box that can be carried in a rucksack with the tripod the eagle tree gs is visable the switch,s are heavy duty my larger lipo packs can be used for the power supply with a lipo checker and alarm built in and i did remember to fit a cooling fan this time, the patch and 6db omini can be replaced with a helical and skew for circular the 5.8 is feed to my goggles and my recording station which remains unchanged.

I decided any tilt needed on the patch or helical can be done with the tripod unit this just makes it simpler

I may fit an external vid socket under for a wired pair of goggles at some point

Back to penquin now to finish paint ready for testing :D

Hubsanman its taken me nearly two years to get to this stage but its been worth the trouble i started with cheap gear and built on that but really i would have been better off buying quality to start with  :D

but we all have to cut our cloth to suite our income  ;)

Coyote i have only ground tested it as yet but its there awaiting the penquin now  :) I may try the 2.4 side out on the easystar first though the goggle link is fine though no interference that i can see :)

It unpacks and so easy to set up i should have done this last year  :D
