I'm new hear and what better way to introduce your self with a crash!
So I took my F450 out to a new site today and all was going well, 3rd battery
In and I think naza shut me down for some reason, had enough battery left to land and some spare.
I have tested after the crash and everything powers up and fail safe kicks in if signal is lost. Although she won't be flying for awhile. As it fell out the air voltage was still reading 10.8 on a 3s, so no reason for the motors to stop.

What's your thoughts? Could have been a faulty current sensor shutting things down but vtx was still sending video. Although the current sensor was destroyed upon meeting the ground so who knows, more tests tomorrow when all the mud is off, time to write a nice list of bits to order:'(

Naza low voltage protection on or off?
Off, I always go by timer and osd, much more reliable than naza voltage protection.
does not "sound" like it was the naza, sounds like it got starved of power, you can hear the motors slow first as if the current sensor burnt out maybe ? but i would have expected it to kill the video etc too. certainly if the naza low voltage detector was off i would not think it was that, What version of firmware are you running ?
hi, Just got in from work on a bank holiday again :( No rest for the wicked!
Current firmware is 2.02, Although iv been on this for ages and not a glitch to date.
There are no visual signs on the current sensor that it burnt up, Just snapped a chunk off on impact.
damage list so far is:
2 front legs.
2 props.
Top plate.
2 motors.
5.8Ghz antenna on vTX.
Naza's GPS mount.
650Line sony ccd.
current sensor.
and i'm down another battery
I will get around to strip down and testing OSD, vTX and what not after dinner.

Look like an RC glitch killed the throttle, or were you trying to decend and maybe chopped the throttle?
Did notice a few /two gliches during the flight (?)
those seemed like bullet connectors as i have had the same!
in my case i was down low, kept a hover at two feet, then it fliped again :o

I was coming in to land but ended up at full throttle half way down with no joy, it twitched
Twice which looked like loss of signal and fail safe kicking in, followed by the fall.
I did check fail safe function when I got home and as expected it tried to RTH on loss of signal. I do know I have a faulty ezuhf rx I need to send back but I'm sure the fault is with the i2c bus and flying function is not affected. Just means no Rssi info on screen.
Its got me scratching my head. Hopefully more testing will reveal the little gremlin.
Standard motors and 30A opto esc's, connections all seem fine and works even with a wiggle of the connectors.
I couldn't imagine that killing all motors at the same time though.

Well after a long 2 weeks of no fpv the f450 is alive again, and I'm sure the misses is happy again too! No more grumpy me :D
I still didn't find a answer to how or why it went down, I'm guessing it was the current sensor. But at 1 week old and only pulling 21 amp max its a pain.
Im slowly loosing faith in immersion now, I get too many faulty shit damn it >.<
Don't get me wrong good products but shit solder and shit QC! /rant over/
Mans got to vent stress somewhere, but I'm smiling again now.
Iv had 3 packs runs through it tonight and all seems well, although I'm unsure on the new naza firmware. Its taken too much away from me with the semi auto take off.
Thanks to all for there input and hopefully the little gremlins died with the crash too hehehe.

Have you tested your fail safes?
Either tie down the copter or get someone brave to hold it (firmly) above their head.
Wait for a GPS fix then give it just over half throttle (while the person holds it) and then turn off your transmitter.
The LED should flash orange and the copter should start flashing orange and the throttle should stay up, if the throttle dies and you don't get an orange flashing light then you've found your problem :)
I had tested failsafe when i got home after the crash and have retested on the new firmware after the repair, Both times they worked fine.
I have literary tested everything i can from bad solder to pilot error, I probably spent more time checking than flying :S but it pays off in the long run, No loose props nuts and the like.
I can only put it down to the battery or current sensor, Can't test the battery as that ended in flames.
I think i can test the current sensor when i get time, Seem to have all the parts to piece back together.
I was having issues with the UK beta firmware for ezUHF but am now back on 433 and not a glitch so far, Had it out to 1.3Km yesterday and a record for me :D with the quad.
