Post by: jwmachon on May 29, 2013, 09:09:14 AM
Hi.

i have just bought ezuhf and will be mounting to a sky surfer which is identical to a bixler

Where should i Mount the rx and antennas it comes with two White antennas on receiver and 1 on tx.

Are the antennas any good that come with it

Most people put the antennas in a V pattern, I personally have one vertical and one at 45 degrees :) you could also try them in an L pattern.

As long as one is vertical or both near vertical you should be good.

The most optimum setup would be to have two dipoles at each end of the wing.

If using sander style antennas you must not use extensions with them as it effects the tuned length of them. Doing this with dipoles is ok.

Did you buy it new? I'd check that the antenna's are soldered correctly into the sma adapter. I have seen posts where the wire has come away from the SMA leading to fatal problems. You should be able to give the wire a nice tug.

In my opinion there is nothing underhand with a buying asking if they can "buy it now". If anything your anger should be towards the seller for closing the auction early for the responsibility is on them.

p.s will be selling my EzUHF shortly :)

Should have shown the seller the fibre of your fabric if you were desperate for it :)

Well it's not really the delivery time, but I'm not 100% sure on the RX I need to order from their site, I must have sent them about 20 emails over the past 3 months, and not a single reply or anything! So I'm kinda reluctant to spend £100 plus on something I might never see!!

They definitely ship, I just had a new RX arrive. Not sure on communication issues though.
