Title: FPVRaptor in the wind
Post by: FPVSteve on June 04, 2013, 11:08:40 PM
Went out tonight just as the light was fading as I wanted to FPV in the wind.

Winds were about 15mph minimum, was quite pleased with how the Raptor withstood it and it seemed to climb better as well.

Setup is:
2x2200mAh 3 cell, 1400kv stock motor, 8x4E prop, 60A ESC (overkill!)
5.8GHz 600mw, Frsky.
No stabilisation gizmos

Didn't go very far at all but was just testing how the plane handled .. bit of an abrupt landing(!) but the plastic fuselage is unbreakable :D
