Hi guys I'm having some issues with my DJI450 and GoPro. I have the dreaded jello which is spoiling any videos I do as well as blurring images I take :-(
To the best of my ability I have balanced all of the propellers which helped. I've made sure everything is nice and tight nothing lose.
To the naked eye everything looks as if it's vibration free when hovering. Any help would be extremely appreciated...Thanks
The best solution I have found is if you are using a GoPro is to have it in its hard case and solid mount this to the frame.
I use one of the GoPro flat mount on the bottom of my DJI F550 with the GoPro in its case, I have balanced nothing and get spot on videos. Jello seems to me to come from the GoPro moving about. If it is locked solid like in the case it does not do it as much.

Also, could be the motors that are out of balance. Check out FliteTest on youtube for their quick tip on laser balancing.
I'm using the standard large props that came with it.
I have the Tri-Spin Prop balancer from first person view.

I can't keep it in the case. See image.
Can't you just take it out that holder and pop the case on upside down?!? You can select the gopro to record upside down?!? The plus side is the nice gopro will be safe in case of a splat?!?
The camera holder is attached to a sevo so I can move the camera up and down.

I think thats your problem right there then m8. all servo arms have a bit of play. Balance motors, balance props and make sure go pro is solidly mounted. give it a vigorous shake and see whats moving. Stock dji motors are really smooth in comparison to what i upgraded too. my balanced motors are like the dji's unbalanced ones.

I think I've finally cracked the Jello on mine :)
It was a case of finding the very fine line between dampening the camera without it being so soft that it wobbles or so stiff that the vibrations are not absorbed at all.
Apparently Jello free footage is a black art and there are no rules :laugh:
This is footage from Sunday. No balancing of the props or the motors. The GoPro is in its case with the standard GoPro stick on mount on the belly of the Hex frame.

How did you dampen your camera? I have put a sponge type material behind the camera connected to the mount but it made zip all.
Have you tried using a spring or elastic band tied to the camera + frame to take the slack out of your sero tilt mechanism ?
