Anyone ever tried to fly the English Channel with a model airplane?

Or anyone ever tried to refuel a model airplane in the air?

Hi mate, James May tried this but decided on a island the same difference cos of the French, he flew it autopilot viw waypoints not fpv though.

hmm autopilot... Would be cooler if he took the ferry and flew from the deck :D

They did have a chap in a full size Heli flying along side ;)

Their model was an unpowered glider.
