Hi matey.
i glued the whole of my bixler with hot glue.
even joining the two halfes of the fuse. if you join the two halfes though be sure to put a beed along the afterwards and then smooth off to make it look neat!

Hot glue is pretty heavy lads.

Plus I think it can get brittle if it gets cold.

I'd use UHU POR ;)

Hell use medium CA with some kicker?!?!

Use 5 minute epoxy.. or as mentioned UHU UPOR (but it takes ages to dry), however it remains pretty flexible, which is good!

I don't glue my fuselages together on the Easy Star / Bixlers  ... I just use tape to secure them so I can get access to the innards if I need to.

For the tail though definitely epoxy over hotglue .. hotglue is messy and when it comes to winter, as Flyn says, it becomes very very brittle in the cold temperatures. Hard landing = snapped join.

I've used hot glue for pretty much everything I build and have had no problems so far. But with that being said I don't think it's the best option, just the easiest :P

UHU Por all the way.

Hot glue, heavy and can be brittle. I definitely wouldn't be doing any winter flying with a plane put together with hot glue. It's liable to fall apart. Last winter I was flying my Z2 in sub zero temperatures, on the last flight one of the winglets fell off, the one which I glued with hot glue only. The other one had POR to glue it and just a hot glue bead around the sides.
