Fancy a bit of fun on Sunday, wife nagging you spend to much time with your sodding planes, kids driving you mad already in the summer holidays. Well if that is you do what I do an escape!!!
Sunday we are having a meet at the Turf Fields. I am bring down a gazebo but more importantly so balloons and a massive bottle of helium that needs using up. So like an FPV death race / assault course to me is on the cards.

Yep I will be there, my names already on the list. I'm taking the Bixler and Venturi and the launcher to try out. Can I just ask guys to bring some lead weight, I think I need some more and I'm out, oh and is anyone bringing charging stuff?
I'll be flying IRC Channels 1 and 3... I think.
I've got about 1kg of lead, if I remember I'll bring.

I have a generator rov a tiny little compact one if you can fit it in you can take that and everybody is welcome to plug into it to charge!?

Sweet, should be able to squeeze it in. Keukpa, cos I'm using my old 250mW VTx and it's set to ch1. Think the Venturi is on 3. Don't quite need 1kg of lead, thanks mate ;-) wing is at 2.3kg now, don't want it to much heavier!
Yeah...but you can change the channels!
I have all mine set to ch6 :) if we pick channels now. ....no faffing at the field :)
best idea would be 1 channel seperation with channel 7 unused as it cross's over to 1
im happy to change though and can do so with ease.
i so far know just not to be up at the same time as rich.
im in if theres room for 1 other!

P.S. Looks like the Mini-z wont be ready, so just the Bixler 2 and the NAZA (Which I'm currently having problems with, flies like a pig!)

Not had any confirmation either way from BS85 so he may or may not turn up.
Maidened the wing tonight, yea it needs some work - trims are super sensitive on wings, I forgot .. plus it could do with being covered properly before I break it, so it'll be Bixler only for me!

Just found this thread this morning. Hope you don't mind if a beginner comes along to watch. I learned a lot at the Doncaster school meeting a couple of months ago. After that meeting, I got my first FPV plane (the EPP FPV from HobbyKing), but it was not brilliant. The tail sits flat on the ground, and the high fuselage needs a big battery to balance without FPV gear - flew ok, but on landing the torsional forces on the 'carbon' fuselage tube broke it.... It's not wasted though, as the foam surface finish is so rough that I can use it to sandpaper doors. The 'carbon' tube fuselage turned out to be glass-fibre, coloured black, and very thin at that! I've bought a Skywalker now, as they are finally back in stock in the UK warehouse. I'll get there in the end. At this rate, I'll be installing 3D HD gear.....
