If anyone has any ideas that might resolve a problem I'm having with my FY41Ap I'd be grateful to hear them...
I'm just putting the FY41 in a zephyr ii build but no way can I get any video output, either OSD info or camera video
from the unit. The unit seems to be working ok all other areas, I can switch modes, it stabalises the servos in abm mode, gps locks,
engages rtl when I switch off the transmitter and fires up the motor etc ..... just absolutely dead on the video side.
I've swapped vtx and wiring and tried the video output through the vtx and wiring on my easystar which I know works ok..... still nothing.
The goggles work ok with the easystar setup so it's not them.
I've updated the latest osd firmware and the other firmware but to no avail. It's possible of course that the thing is just buggered :(
but maybe I'm missing something ? Have an FY31and hornet that never gave a minutes trouble.
Was up till 3:30am determined not to be beaten by it......today , knackered, another 12 hrs later and feeling very much beaten by it >:( grrrr
Any thoughts much appreciated ! :+
Sorry to hear that Mark. :o
Hope you get the thing going as I want to follow in your footsteps.
Can't think what it could be. Will have a read of the distruction manual.
Thanks Mike, It's driving me nuts...... just read something about an incompatibilty with the pz0420 cam from sc2000, but not completely wiping out all video..... anyway the osd should still display with the cam disconnected, so it shouldn't be that.... hmmmmm Have completely neglected my childcare duties today trying to sort this. The house is like a bomb site and the kids have coloured each other in with felt tips. Will have to pull out all the stops about an hour before Julie gets back...
Have you got a picture or could draw up a picture of your fpv wiring to and from it ?
Hi Coyote
I know that MarkLloyd has just sorted it out. Had something to do with reverse wires on new camera.
I am sure he will be posting results.
Thanks on his behalf.
M.
Let me guess.. Chinese board cam that was shipped with the three pin (red/yellow/black) lead with the wires around the wrong way on the connector?
Soooooooo common :(
Hi DaveyLC and Coyote,
Sorry I haven't posted back on this sooner.
Yes, as Mike says I sorted it late on Tuesday night and DaveyLC was absolutely right. I'd checked everything except the 3 pin connector on the camera. I had assumed (incorrectly) that as on the FY31AP, even if there wasn't a camera pic the osd would still output.
I'd checked different vtx's , firmware etc etc but assumed the camera was ok as it had worked fine previously on a different plane. I was using a new 3 pin connector & wiring that I'd got as a spare from sc2000 previously but I only noticed when I finally did test with a different camera that the red/yellow/were switched.
As soon as there was a video in feed the OSD kicked in too. What a relief ! Was resigned to having to send it back to China.
The Feiyu tech support people were helpful and had told me to check the video, also the voltage being output to the camera and vtx from the FY41.
Can't believe it took so many hours of fiddling to spot such a simple problem. I just assumed new connectors would be wired correctly.
Thanks for taking your time to offer help guys.
Regards
Mark
Glad you got it sorted, silly Chinese cant get three cables in the right order hehe :)
