Hey I'm really thinking I might get one of theses.
Can anyone tell me if there is a UK Site which I can order one from with everything I need to fly apart from NAZA and RC Control. I have all the FPV stuff.
Also can anyone tell me what batt would be best for this? I want it to run a GoPro 3. Also what sort if flight time could I get from this thing? Thanks in advance.
Your flight times will depend on your all up weight, motor choice, prop size and battery capacity, so there are a lot of variables.
A popular choice of motor for these is the Sunnysky V3508-16 700kv with 12" props and a 5000mAh 4s battery,
You can get the FY680 in the UK from here:

but a lot of people get them from china and even if you factor in the shipping cost they are still a bit cheaper.
I got my my FY690 frame (Same as the FY680 but with newer motor mounts) from MoonHobby and the motors from Himodel.
Thank you kindly for your reply. What is your setup spec and your flight time please? Do you use it for FPV?
I'm still building mine and converting it into a Y6, so my specs will be a bit different.
There are some guys on here that fly the 680 so they would be better to ask about performance. Also on RCGroups there are a couple of threads about this frame where you will get a lot of useful info.
I fly mine with a 4S 5800mah lipo, it will carry from a Gopro up to a Nex 5 giving me 8 mins + flight times depending on how nuts I fly it
You can`t buy one with all the bits, you will need to buy motors, ESC`s, wires ( lots of ) Bec, Naza ( or whatever ) and go from there
Best thing to do is check a few builds out and make your mind up of which motor / prop combo you want to go with

You say you have got a KK Power Board on yours. Does it not come on the frame like the DJI450 then?
No you get the frame only, top / bottom plates, spacers, legs, arms, motor mounts and battery holder. Everything else, power board, motors, ESC`s etc were added to it. TBH most of it now is not original anyway, just the base plates, arms and battery tray, you find other parts that work better or to your liking so it evolves anyway to your own personal taste.

As per my earlier link, Foxtech do ARTF versions, with everything you need. Will give you an idea of what kit you need if nothing else.

not too bad that £500 artf with a naza...
simon.
Is this a real Tarot FY680 or simply a copy?
That`s the frame, upgraded landing gear ( essential ) different motor mounts ( not a bad idea ) and not a bad price either.
Sorry the landing gear on the frame from the link is already upgraded?
Also it has different motor mounts and can they be changed to the normal flat motors?
The gimbal they supply is that a good one as I have never heard of that make.
Yes they have swapped the awful original landing gear bracket out for the upgraded part in that foxtech link.
You can change anything you want, its like lego :)
I don't know the gimbal brand, personally I would only advise getting the Tarot 2D gimbal

Thanks for your reply. The motors that come with the foxtech one are they any good or should I upgrade them? I'm guessing this will lift a sony nex camera and gimble with no bother?
I will use GoPro for awhile but always nice to no I can upgrade if needs be. Were is the best place to get a Tarot 2D gimbal from?
The motors are capable, how they will be with the Nex's extra weight I'm not sure.
I recommend helipal.com for the 2d gimbal, fast and I had a faulty board, they sent a replacement out even before the returned one had got back to them
Wow that's very good service I will definitely purchase from them. Thank you again for your help regarding this.
What are the differences between your motors and these motors? I'm still trying get my head around it.
I'm assuming if I for instance wanted to lift a bigger camera than a Sony I would simply need bigger motors and or propellers?
Done! I have taken the jump and just ordered the following:

Just a case of Lipos for this beast! They say 4S lipo,5000mah....Can I go bigger or will that start killing flight time with too much wait? What sort of flight time so you think I will get with this setup?
It's taken a while but it is finally built just have to give it a proper test. The first test ended in crash I believe it was due to clipping a very thin tree branch although I'm not hundred percent sure. It could've been a propeller breaking in flight.
