I've never used the DJI IOC modes, so:
Can anyone clarify my assumption that "home lock" means that wherever the MR is in relation to you (Home) and whether it's nose out, nose in, or nose to the side: pulling back on the right stick will bring it back towards the Home position?
And therefore pushing forward on the right stick will send it away from home.
...so all forward and backward paths on the right stick radiate out from Home (you)?
Hi
You are quite right in your assumption.
Things to note though is that the IOC is only effective when approximately 10m distant
from the home position. Also there are two IOC modes, Course Lock and Home Lock.
In Course lock if you were too command the multirotor to roll left or right it will move
in a straight line. In Home Lock making the same commands will cause the MR to
orbit about the Home Location, essentially circling you.

thanks... :)
I THINK that if - as described above - home lock mode is used to 'pull' the multicopter back, once it flies into that 30ft home zone it will switch to 'course lock' mode.
This may well mean that continued 'back stick' will cause the craft to fly along the pre-set course lock track. ie to then fly away from you.
