Title: AirDroids Pocket Drone
Post by: electrotor on January 15, 2014, 01:16:05 AM
No points for the name but it looks like an interesting solutions to transport issues, especially holiday ones, where SWMBO insists on filling the case with 4 handbags, 10 pairs of shows, 20 dresses, 3 hairdryers and most of the local chemists stock.

Interesting "collapsible" props which you don't see often except on heli blades.

Doesn`t look bad at all, pretty impressed how small it is / folds down to

The Pocket Drone by AirDroids (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0iyz8eTp2u0#ws)

As long as you pledge around $500 your into the bind and fly version. Anything below that means buy your own controller. As long as they will ship out of the USA

I hope its not conducted the same way the Skydrone lot went about their project, give us your money and ignore any questions from anyone.

They're not shipping outside the USA initially. According to FAQ :

Of course we would love to ship all over the world. We are looking into it to try to make that happen. However, there are several issues with doing that. The primarily issues are from regulatory restrictions in each country we ship to. Meaning that radio frequencies and testing/safety requirements need to be met for each destination. This is VERY costly. If and when we are able to solve these issues, we will of course open up a reward level for International customers. And we will try as hard as we can to make that happen.

If it does become available if wonder if Messrs Dale and Co. would be interested in stocking it?

Ideal for covert spying on deaf subjects who only inhabit a very tiny area.
