So I dusted off my old tricopter & added a homebrew gimbal.
I'd forgotten just how cool tricopter's are to fly.

Copter control FC
AX-4008D motors
SimonK ESC's
APC 10x 4.7 props
Hitec HS-82MG yaw servo
It makes for a very cool filming platform...
FPV Tricopter - Revisited on Vimeo (http://vimeo.com/85566710)
:-)
Very nice, must admit I miss my tricopter even though it was shoddily built it flew really nicely.
Best feel good FPV Vid i've seen in a long time :D - and what a crazy machine that is.
Really enjoyed that.
10/10 Badlands ;D
Badlands, welcome back to the wonderful world of tricopers, I for one have never strayed, well I did build a quad but me Gran flies that now says its awesome (not like those noisy doodlbugs what used to fly over our house during the blitz) she say's (I can go and make a cuppa then carry on flying and its still there hangin around like a full colostomy bag) bless her she is 95
but anyhoo enjoy your tri Tony

Great video! loving the gimbal you have on it.
I do miss my tricopter a lot! Might dust it off too but would love a gimbal like yours, any thoughts of plans of selling?
also just me or is vimeo not working just now too
Martin
I think Vimeo got hacked (DOS'd) or something recently & they are still recovering, I cant embed properly on RCG with it either.
[EDIT] - More info here -> http://status.vimeo.com/ (http://status.vimeo.com/)
My gimbal is 2 pieces of bent aluminium with a Alex Mos controller - not much to it!
Great video - I did love some of those angles. Flying low with the GoPro straight down is a new way of shadow chasing :)
great vid - loved the bit chasing the fox in the quarry ;) awesome
Really good - loved it. Also got me thinking about these 'spare' 530Kv motors and 5S battery I have laying around...
Great video, actually watched this on vimeo this morning whilst looking for tricopter stuff, didnt realise it was someone from here! :D
Brilliant footage. I'm fighting with vibration on mine which (I think) caused the KK2 to go mental and flip me upside down, so its rebuild time again!
best video i've seen in a while too!
