Maiden is done.
Must admit ,that thing can't even compare to hexa !!! :sparta:
Looks interesting bud, does it fold down at all for transportation ?
no Ian ,keep it simple ,don't like to complicate and no problem with transport ,also easy to carry with that handle on top :)
asap I got real 3k carbon sheets I will make one full carbon :)
How many toddlers can that thing carry away to devour in a cave then??

its a Raptor LOL
looks mean bet she sounds mean too, Marcin ;)
dizzy :)
she looks a lot better after clean up wiring mess :)
Now I'm about to replace whole legs for gimbal with 20mm tubes to make them evem more stiff ;D
will add pictures soon.
As I think my legs might catch some vibes during fast flying forward etc:.
I design and made whole gimbal pod for Y6 ,with 8108 mounting plate ,also gimbal mounting tube with possibility to slide forward /backward to adjust proper YAW CoG.
,design is a lot hevier then previous "600gr what's on pictures - legs" but it's made form aluminium tube and 3mm G10 - so can't expect something light and stiff like this build.
well will test that POD soon.
Actually I like it more these thick legs ,they look solid to me - tested I use that POD as my stool ;D I'm 93kg so it's OK.
If my COG in Y6 goes to low ,middle plates got designed holes to fit batterys on top also then CoG will go UP a lot.
All is ready for testing ,she fly once for now and I really like it !!!

Cool :)
drop some weight from legs before I fit them.

looks good - how much weight did you save by using carbon?
legs only drop 160gr - tubes You can see on picture Hase ;)
still got 3 arms to mount - I weight them and alloy ,these is another 160gr difference ,so all together using only carbon I got 320gr -for now.
After that I will swap these 12mm alloy tubes used in gimbal for carbon "IN DELIVERY" - so more to drop :)
Then - motor mount ,will cut them from 2mm 3k Carbon instead of 3mm G10. - no clue how much this will safe ,but alwasy something.
Thinking about making whole Y6 middle plates in carbon ,but price for sheet in that sizes is :-X
for now setting this thing ;D ,more stiff setup ,better dampening system, perfect balance on all 3 axis,no slope at all +setup button mounted in tubes to change setting in gimbal boards.
