Has anyone found a case big enough to hold a TBS discovery with the props on?
I've just had a look and i can only find the peli cases and they're a bit pricy for me!
Peli are pretty expensive but Ebay has some used ones selling for a lot less.
I initially stored and transported my Phantom (with props) in a "Really Useful Box" until I found a Peli style case form Duratools for £26. However Duratools don't have one big enough for TBS Discovery with props. Maybe you could look at some of the under-bed boxes from Really Useful Boxes. The are pretty strong and good value for money.

This is the one I've just bought :)

Hi Guys
Funny for this too pop up now for me.
I am just thinking of starting out in the multirotor side of FPV and am thinking for my first steps of getting the DJI Phanom 2.
My list has on it "a cheapish case" Links to them look just what I need. Thanks
A question for Electrotor. The Phantom case you got from Duracase for £26. Do you know what the model was or any ID number.
Thanks again.
This is the case I use for my phantom 1, duratool from CPC. Very cheap and had foam in as well, including a layer of the 'pick n pluck' stuff.

Hope this helps :)

Duratool case D00468 - same as FaceplantSi posted the link to. If you order on-line there is no charge but if you order by phone they charge a few pounds extra. The Phantom c/w props just fits. I'll post a picture tonite along with how I did some extra cutting to suit.
You can also buy exactly the same case with the pick'n'pluck foam from various Ebay and model shop sources. However it will be twice the price for the privilege of sporting a DJI sticker.
Then there are the cases with the specially moulded foam interiors. Expect to fork out £150-£200 for these.
The TBS Discovery with props requires a somewhat larger case, outwith the Duratool range, hence the reference to 2nd hand Pelis or Really Useful Boxes.
Thanks for the links lads, appreciate it!

My Phantom in the Duratool D00468 case.
The Phantom has a Zenmuse H3-2D gimbal, GoPro Hero3 and extended battery door which all fit nicely.
The case comes with three layers of foam, the top one being the pick'n'pluck layer on a 16mm square grid. I used this grid to cut the lower two layers for the Phantom legs, gimbal, GoPro, Tx and batteries. The lid foam needs to be cut back to avoid it bending the prop blades when you shut the lid. The foam cutting blade I used is one of those long ones which you can snap off in sections as you wear it out. Use a fresh blade to get the best cut. To get the maximum depth of cut you need to use the blade on its own, out of the handle. Seriously sharp so be careful.

Mine arrived today, still waiting on the eggshell foam but the TBS fits nicely :)
Electrotor, thanks for the picture. Case out of stock at the moment. Not ordered Phantom 2 yet, so no hassle.
