Title: DX6i roller button PCB
Post by: lrosm on February 24, 2014, 11:28:03 PM
Hi there,

My DX6i roller button broke.  (the normal thing, the small plastic bit at the end) on ordering a replacement from Hobbyking, i find that it doesn't seem to fit correctly.  Once I position the screws it seems to move the roller forward slightly so that it no longer "beeps" on turning.

i am looking for a PCB board replacement instead of the roller.  I cannot seem to find any site to purchase one!  any pointers would be great.

cheers lrosm

Hi :)

My did the same about a year ago, the plastic axle inside the roller broke.

I did a great fix that many have done, it works great and has solved the problem for over a year for me now....still works great!

All you need to do is find the correct size hex key (allen Key)....just push some into the hole
until you find one with a nice snug fit,

Then all you have to do is cut it to the correct length and glue it into the roller (or push into the roller if its a tight enough fit to keep it in place), then simply plug into PCB board and your away!

Hope this helps....saves you forking out for a new PCB board.

John.
