Title: Naza-M v1 seems sluggish on v4.02
Post by: HerkyBird on March 09, 2014, 11:51:13 PM
I got out for a fly today to make the most of the lovely weather and it was my first outing with my 350 size Quad running a Naza M v1 since I upgraded the firmware to v4.02. Everything 'worked' OK and after some tweaking of the attitude settings it was feeling quite responsive apart from the thrust available. I've even tried reducing the Vertical gain down to 50 as I've heard that too high a vertical gain can sap power but it didn't seem to help. My setup is the Naza with 18a DJI esc's running standard DJI 2212 motors on 8" props. Batteries are 2200mah 3s and all up weight is just under 1kg. I'm sure it was much 'poppier' than this when I flew it at the end of last year? Any thoughts?

if it's been stood, are the LIPOs a bit off?

Both li-po's freshly charged from storage voltage, I think I'll have a go with tamed down rates in manual mode next to see if it's ok like that, if it is then I know it's the Naza stabilization sapping the power.
