This is what my discovery does when try and yaw quickly. at the end of the video you can see what it does if i yaw slower/gently. i guess my questions is if its just normal or is there a problem?

Doesn't look right mate, mine turns on the spot. I would say your gains are wrong.
Is that even when you give it an aggressive input? such a full left?
as you have a lite, take the yaw gain down, maybe by 20 to start with. my naza 1 did that on the earlier firmware. 3.** onwards didn't do it as it had better stability in yaw and descent. i havn't flown my naza lite yet, but i expect it to do a bit of that unless i keep the yaw gain modest. also, make sure you have the correct measurements on the assist for the position of the GPS puck. if it's wrong, strange things can happen, apparently.
Cheers lads,
I've got the GPS measurement exact and reduced the gains until it sorted it. had to reduce it to 60% :o
Thanks again,
James
Ah thats great glad you sorted it :)
Flying in a big metal box wont help much either, it will confuse the hell out of your FC's compass :)
that would be true davey, but it looks asbestos to me. i got three reds in my flat, another floor above me.
Hmm..
- all props tight and not slipping?
- all esc's calibrated correctly?
- everything balanced correctly?
- not too heavy? do you have enough spare power?
- try playing with PID's?
Don't know if this is possible with naza, but if yes, download logs and check motor demands. Just to confirm you are not capping the motors.
Thanks for the reply lads, Gtv was spot on saying it was the gains. After changing them it was a lot better, Ive since changed to 4S and 9" props and now the issue is completely gone! :)
Cheers,
James
