Title: LC Filters On Your VTX - Are they Worth it?? VID!
Post by: Flyn on March 17, 2014, 02:01:21 AM
Who here has lines on their video? Do they change with motor RPM, do you want to get rid of them for nice clear shiny video?

I added one to my ZII today & look how much difference it made.... LC Filters - are they worth it?

The only change in this video was to add a LC filter to the VTX power inputs about 1" from the VTX connector. You can make one for about £3 if you need one!

Watch on Youtube in large window for a better view of the results.

I find if I add one to both the osd,  and the camera I get best results.

Also.....    Twist the + and -  cables together,  and run the video lead around 2 cm away from the power lines - but that depends on the model and particular component separation.

Could you possibly explain how to make one? - a video would be great!! also, what size capacitor etc would be good info......

or, you could make some and sell them - I'd take a few  ;)
