Title: Phantom props comparison original 8045 vs p2 9443 and carbon fibre
Post by: jamesb72 on April 09, 2014, 11:14:06 AM
Quite windy yesterday so good conditions to compare the various self tightening/integrated nut props, the originals are definitely smoother but less powerful, phantom 2 props are louder and more efficient but jump around more in wind, carbons a bit more so.

All props were balanced before flight, and needed tape/sanding to balance as expected, gains were left as is.

Remove the "s" from https:// on your video link to embed the video in the forum James ;)

Using a dubro prop balancer and a bit of fuel tube, short video below, also did a longer one showing full balancing.

That's helpful - thanks. I'd been wondering how I could balance the phantom self tightening props.
