Post by: Dizzy on April 09, 2014, 07:03:53 PM
She will be fitted with a fpv pod later in the year  :D
I modified the landing gear with an extra strut to prevent nosing the prop on a heavy landing its still springy but nowhwere as bad as the original single strut ;)
Still in build mode waiting for paint to finish her and finish installing electrics  :)

In this pic below i am fitting a plywood faced block glued directly to the floor i fitted to screw the extra piano wire strut too :)

Below i modified the steering arm it says glue to plastic face but i bent it through a hole and epoxied

I found people said its slightly nose heavy with the lipo right back under the wing so decided to fit the RC reciever behind the wing i am pushing the access panel down in this picture and fitted a tube through the bulkhead to feed the servo leads through.

I will post a picture of her finished but paint will not be with me till wednesday next week  :D

My impressions of the kit is, A First class finish and perfect fit of all components very impressed i bought the medium power power pack for her, which should produce ample power for prop hanging and unlimited vertical ascent ;D

This is one model i am really looking forward to getting in the air just for the fun of flying LOS but with fpv options later  ;D
happy dizzy ;D
