I'm looking for motors for F330 arms and can only seem to find 900-1000kv motors with integrated prop adaptors, or 2300-2400kv tiny ones, but can't seem to find anything in the middle.
Ideally looking for something in 1600kv-2000kv which will fit 5mm props, anyone know of anything suitable ?
Why not just buy a 1600kV - 2000kV motor then prop adapters to match the motor shaft diameter to prop hole diameter?
BTW why do you want such high revving motors for your F330?
I'm not a fan of seperate prop adaptors they increase height and bend motor shafts when they arent coming loose.
Want high kv to run small 6 or 7 inch props for proximity flying.
Hobbyking do a range of short shaft motors for multicopters but they only go up to about 1200kV I think.

Thanks for suggestion, the hobbyking NTM motors go up to 1400kv in the normal shaft (not flush, I think that versions limited to max 1200kv) and you can run them upside down (ie shaft sticking down through quad arm and put the bolt on prop adaptor on the back side pointing up).
I bought 5 NTM 1200kv motors a while back (I always get a spare) and 2 were unusable out of the box, one the motor can was drilled eccentrically so prop wobbled around all over the place, the second bearings were very very bad, revving motor in your hand was almost uncomfortable amount of vibration, I bought one more and got two replacments and two of those had noisy bearings, not unusable but not what I'd be happy to pay for again !!
Maybe what I'm looking for doesn't yet exist - micro quads are exploding so hopefully they will be along soon, I was hoping someone knew of a secret chinese man with something suitable !!
My wish list is 16/19mm holes, direct prop fitting and 1600-2000kv.
Just noticed hobbyking have the 1704 1900kv motors back in stock - I haven't had a stock email yet so must have just been updated:

Also banggood are expecting 600 RCX 1804 2400kv motors on 1st May - they come CW/CCW so just need to select 'mode' before adding to cart.

Try myrcmart.com .....
Thats where I got my first set from, their postage prices are crazy I think they charged me $12 for 4 motors, banggood are same cost per motor but with free postage so looks better to me - chances are they are the same warehouse anyway ;)

how do the rcx and the multistar motors compare ???
I've only seen the multistars 1900kv in my hand (a friend has some but not flying yet) they are even tinier than the RCX, but have 14mm bolt spacing which is better, I've heard reports of the motor shafts snapping.
I only have one set of the RCX 2400kv motors, which fly great on 3S with gemfan 5x3, there is some up/down play in the bells on my non-R motors (spinning CCW with std threads), only about 0.5mm or so, and doesn't seem to be an issue in flight. I like them for the self tightening threads, but the 12.4mm bolt spacing is a pain.
Not sure if there is a difference in flight between 1900kv and 2300kv, everyone seems to be using 3S and gemfan 5x3 and from the video's they look pretty similar in performance, which makes no sense to me but I clearly don't understand kv's.
Frankly if you can find either in stock just buy them ;)
