Title: lh polarized?
Post by: Ynot6 on May 26, 2014, 08:47:41 PM
i know most people use the odd numbered channels to avoid cross talk, has any one considered using left hand polarization to use the even numbered channels? i would certainly be up for using them myself.

I use LH antennas exclusively now because I fly with two RH pilots, makes things much easier

Does the rh / ls stop any interference or just make it less?

I fly with a rh like my only other buddy, maybe we need to talk..

When your on LHCP and someone is flying with RHCP there is first the channel separation, then on top of that the mismatch in polarization also gives you -30dB rejection as well. So you get absolutely no signal from the other flyer. If you were both on the same channel you still get the -30dB but if your both close you will pick up each others transmissions.

Thanks,

A pretty simple way of getting less problems..
